Golden & Broken is the Fall

September slips in, in summer attire - some march blindly into it's embrace.

Here in coastal Virginia - the weather is mostly the perfect gentle concoction.

Ideal for most, others are ensnared. October 10th is well past the "warning".

A "red alert" demands larger piles of gratitude, bright lights, well honed tools.

Hatches needed battening, foul weather gear needed purchasing by Labor Day.

The bones will be revealed in the trees as in us, more easily bruised or broken.

Unlike our brethren that exited in a color robbed maw of long term depression.

We know from experience this is survivable, we know April will appear again.
