2019 was an insanely busy year. The constant workload required from me to get my #photobook American Psyche: The Unlit Cave (Daylight Books) ready for it's June 2020 release was so all encompassing it gave me very little time to photograph.

As life would have it long before Daylight offered me a publishing opportunity I was scheduled and financially committed to travel with my siblings to Spain and Portugal in September 2019. Because publishing a book for a very small niche market such as "fine-art photography" is a scary and expensive financial commitment the thought of spending anymore money was overwhelming.

As it turned out, it was a desperately needed break in the endless workload. An added sliver lining was the generosity of my siblings towards a financially strapped artist, helping to make it more affordable.

Once I was able to spend some big chunks of time with the images from overseas I began having some new ideas for a potential book. Here a couple of possible page spreads that include specifically images made overseas in 2019.
